Almost all big stars these days are making sure that their films get enough ‘padding’ with a horde of popular actors such that the box office returns will be higher. Say it Baahubali or Srimanthudu, this padding moved to new level as many popular actors are seen sizzling inside. And Ram Charan’s ‘Bruce Lee’ got the mightiest padding in the form of Megastar Chiranjeevi.
What’s more stunning is that, Ram Charan’s previous films like Nayak and Govindudu Andarivadele which got average talk have collected 40 crores ‘share’ equal to what “Bruce Lee” has amassed. So, what’s the weight of Chiru’s cameo in this film if it collected the same as previous films? Trade analysts have an interesting say about this. “For the kind of negative talk Bruce Lee garnered on day one, surely it wouldn’t have not collected 40 crore share too if not for Chiranjeevi’s cameo”, says a trade expert.
Megastar’s cameo would have got more craze if he himself has promoted the film. But knowing the fact that Bruce Lee is a damp squib, Megastar kept off the radar and never spoke about his son’s film after the release. Because Chiru knows the fact that promoting a flop flick will dent his image.
