One can’t help get the feeling that Bihar will still turn out to be a state like Delhi which voted Kejriwal to power only to realize later that he was just a demagogue. In this case, Nitish Kumar is definitely the best CM Bihar has had in a long time and people voted for the alliance because he was the Chief Ministerial candidate.
But the important fact here is that the party with the largest number of seats is Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party under whose rule, Bihar emerged as a jungle raj. In short, he will be remote-controlling Nitish Kumar.
In such a scenario, without adequate majority on his own, what kind of progress will Nitish Kumar be allowed to persist with? Already, Lalu Yadav’s daughter has given a statement saying that her two brothers should be given cabinet berths and there is nothing wrong in it. This is only a harbinger of things to come.
