Last year, youngsters across several major cities in India came out in open and participated in ‘Kiss of Love’ anti-moral policing campaign. The ‘Kiss of Life’ was an initiative of a young filmmaker named Rahul Pasupalan and his girlfriend and international model Reshmi Nair, both from Kerala.
‘Kiss of Love’ was a public demonstration against moral policing where young couples thronged to public places to hug and kiss their partners and friends. But now, both Rahul and Reshmi along with 11 others were arrested by the cyber wing police for allegedly running an online prostitution racket.
The cyber wing apparently came across a Facebook page called ‘Kochu Sundarikal’ which led them to Rahul’s alleged online portal that solicits customers with girls. The cops also reportedly traced down a woman sex worker and even took two minor girls into custody.
The arrested are undergoing an investigation and more details will be out soon. Meanwhile, Rahul’s close associates are alleging a departmental and political conspiracy again Rahul and his movement.
