Mumbai: Sunny Deol, who is all set to return with ‘Ghayal’ sequel, had to go bald for a crucial jail sequence. It was integral to the script and for few minutes he toyed with the idea of tonsuring his head before opting for prosthetics to ensure continuity. Clover Wootton, a UK-based prosthetic and makeup artisit was roped in for the film. Though it was just a one-day shoot, the prosthetics alone took five-six hours. Apparently, he was taken aback when he saw himself in the mirror.
The scene is a crucial part in the film whn his character is under a lot of strss and mental trauma in jail and the shaving of the head is part of the treatment.
The action-packed thriller, which introduces four debutants, Shivam Patil, Rishabh Arora, Diana Khan and Aanchal Munjal, traces the journey and trials of Ajay Mehra, the aspiring boxing champ from the original, from 1990 to 2015.
