It looks like I-scratch-your-back and you-scratch-my-back scenario at Vijayawada on Saturday, when Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu showered praises on each other for their ‘immense contribution’ for the development of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony for Durga Gudi flyover at Vijayawada, Venkaiah described Chandrababu Naidu as a visionary with a lot of transparency. He said under Chandrababu’s dynamic leadership, the State would emerge as the strongest in the country within no time.
He lauded Naidu’s initiative for commencing the six-lane Durgamma Gudi flyover and road widening to four lane in Vijayawada city. “Entire world is looking towards India and Andhra Pradesh, many countries are coming forward to invest in the country. And Naidu being the special ally of the NDA, the State would get a lot of investments,” Venkaiah Naidu said. When his turn came, Chandrababu Naidu was all praise for Venkaiah Naidu for extending cooperation in the development of Andhra Pradesh. He said Venkaiah Naidu played a major role in the merger of seven Telangana mandals into AP. Had these seven mandals were not merged in AP, the Polavaram project would have been stopped. The project was being implemented with the support of the Centre, the Chief Minister said.
