The recent adulterated Ghee and Liquors scams in Vijayawada have rattled the Chandrababu’s government to an extent. Adding to the woes, the latest Call Money scam in the AP capital has irked the AP CM even further. Commenting about the call money scam for the first time, Babu fired on the intelligence officials for their failures in regulating the wrong happenings.
Speaking at the District Collector’s Conference in Vijayawada, Chandrababu referred to the recent adulterated ghee, liquor and the latest call money scams and said that Vijayawada is being ill-reputed due to these scams. The AP CM questioned the intelligence department for its failure in gathering the evidences at the earliest.
Cautioning the authorities to be more vigilant since the capital region will be under the watchful scanner, Babu also directed the officials to inform the victims of the call money scam not to pay their debts and also stressed on booking the accused sexual offenders in the scam under Nirbhaya Act.
