Along with Sukumar’s Kumari 21F, there are films like Cheekati Rajyam that have released but failed to create any impact. In a way that helped the ‘adult’ content of Kumari to influence people and B-C centre audiences literally rolled out a red carpet.
Later movies like Size Zero and Shankarabaranam released with great hype, but fallen flat on day one itself. Same is the case with Thanu Nenu, which is expected to be an underdog. All these below-average performances gave more breathing space to Raj Tarun and Hebah Patel starrer.
Though B-C audeinces rolled out a red carpet for Bengal Tiger, still Kumari 21 F is at large. Today’s release Loafer took most of its theatres, but due to the mixed reactions, some theatres might bring back Kumari again. Should we not now say, everyone is doing their bit for Sukumar’s film.
