Apparently the remuneration of Megastar Chiranjeevi became a huge topic now, with Ram Charan and Lyca Productions teaming up to producer iconic 150th film. If there is only Charan as a producer, then remuneration topic wouldn’t have surfaced. But with Lyca’s presence, everyone is anticipating that the Tamil production house is getting ready to pay a might packet for Megastar.
A report has surfaced other day that Chiranjeevi is being paid 30 crores by Ram Charan because Mahesh is now getting paid 25 crores for AR Murugadoss bilingual. Ambiguity prevails over this report because Mahesh himself is not charging money from producers these days, but only taking share in the project by becoming a co-producer.
Cut to the rumour, why would Charan pay 30 crores to Chiranjeevi on paper, making it a taxable income for the senior? Maybe Chiru would take a cut from movie’s profits as a share, without taking a single paisa from either Charan or Lyca. If your forget, Megastar is the one who introduced this profit-sharing-method in Tollywood.
Sources from Chennai revealed that Lyca Productions is claiming a small share in production just for the sake of giving Kaththi remake rights and they may own overseas rights of the film. Entire production and publicity calls will be made by Charan only, while Vinayak takes the onus of giving first copy without exceeding the fixed budget.
