This Sankranthi will witness the epic box-office battle between the two Nandamuri stars, Balakrishna and NTR. However, one doesn’t need much time to guess that it is Nannaku Prematho which will have more craze among the two, based on NTR’s market being much bigger than his uncle Balayya’s.
A minimum of 50 crores will be riding on Nannaku Prematho while Balayya’s Dictator is said to have done close to 40 crore pre-release business. Going by this equation, NTR’s film should be given the first preference by the distributors and exhibitors by allotting more number of screens. But the real picture is quite opposite.
In Ceded, where NTR commands a maddening fan following, Dictator is being given utmost priority as the film’s Ceded distributor NV Prasad is pulling all his strings and is booking more number of theaters for Dictator. All the villages which have only one theater have been already booked by NV Prasad.
This will surely impact Nannaku Prematho’s collections in Ceded and the first week collections might see a shortage of nearly 2 crores. Needless to say, Nannaku Prematho distributors are seeing stars in the daylight with the Dictator storm. Many are wondering if this epic clash will result in a split in fans of both the stars and it will lead to clashes in political circles.
