Widely used messaging app WhatsApp announced that it will stop charging the users subscription fee and go free for all globally.The App, which is used by over billion users, also stated that no third-party ads will be introduced.
The service providers on their official blog revealed that charging users for subscription practically did not work well. However, WhatsApp did not charge Indian users, who comprise major market for the service.
Facebook in 2014 took over the company for $19 billion. WhatsApp in 2016’s beginning made a huge announcement that it will introduce the communication platform between organizations and businesses. Right from banking communication to delay in flights could be communicated through the App. The tools will be tested and experiments are underway to test the efficiency of business communications.
