Sampath Nandi’s rise in Tollywood is nothing less than a sensation. After directing a low budget film starring Varun Sandesh, Sampath surprised everyone by teaming up with Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan for a while and finally Ravi Teja.
While his success story seems like an overnight phenomenon, it took Sampath many years of struggle and even humiliations to reach to the position he is at the moment. In his latest interview, Sampath revealed a funny yet an embarrassing situation which took place during the early days of his Tollywood dreams.
Inspired by legendary poet C Narayana Reddy, Sampath Nandi took to writing short stories in his childhood and even won a few prizes. One day in during his school days, Sampath saw an ad by D Ramanaidu’s Suresh Productions which was looking for fresh stories. Sampath immediately sent his story and got a letter from Suresh Productions.
Thrilled, Sampath threw a party for his friends and treated them to sweets and tea. Months passed by and Sampath never heard from Suresh Productions again. His friends started teasing him about his much hyped script ending up as a no show.
Sampath then took the letter sent by Suresh Productions to his teachers, who told him that it was only an acknowledgement letter that Suresh Productions received his script. Sampath revealed that he felt ashamed for ignorantly celebrating for his script which was actually rejected.
