India has got a large percentage of middle and higher middle families and their lives have changed after heading to different foreign countries. Today, the NRI diaspora across the globe is quite high. Among that, the fancy for USA is quite high and many go there by hook or crook.
Currently, a new trend has emerged among the middle class couples. The moment the wife is conceiving, plans are being drawn in such a way that they go to US. The reason being, they would be there for the delivery time so that the newborn baby will get US citizenship.
This is a mania of sorts which has picked up now but some are expressing their own doubts. They are saying “At the moment, all this looks ok but what about the situation when these babies grow and touch the age of 20. India is growing in a big way. Will the US citizenship really make a difference?” What are your thoughts.
