As per reports, the makers were offered Rs 6.80 crores for East Godavari rights of the film. This is biggest amount for the region. Previously, the record for the territory was on Baahubali which was sold for Rs 5.25 crores.
Distributors are wisely approaching makers of high budget entertainers, when films are on sets or about to start, as they can obtain theatrical rights for little lesser amounts. If first look teaser or any other content related to the film releases, then, expectations will be hiked, so the demand for theatrical and other rights will also be augmented.
Coming to Mahesh-Murugadoss film, the film is going to be a pure commercial entertainer and will appeal to all section of audiences. Hence, distributors are making early deals with the makers.
