Although comedian Shakalaka Shankar’s role in Sardaar Gabbar Singh is limited for two or three scenes, talk is that one of the scenes seem to have courted a controversy. In a scene in the film, Shankar is spotted cleaning Pawan’s shoe with his own hand.
And this is now inviting flak from a section of audiences. As Pawan plays the role of a police inspector in the film, constable cleaning Pawan’s shoe is not a good idea given that Pawan is known for his humbleness and down-to-earth nature.
In another scene, Shankar is seen doing Pada Pooja to Pawan with flowers out of devotion. While this can be understood that Pawan might have agreed for his fans, Shankar cleaning the shoe of PK is definitely not a welcome one.
Having aware of several sycophants’ fans he has, Pawan too agreeing to such scene would only encourage such sycophancy. Many are baffling how director Bobby convinced Pawan and how Pawan given his nod.
