Nearly 90 plus crores and humongous expectations were riding on Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh. Realizing this, Pawan promoted the film like he never did for any of his films. The film released yesterday on Ugadi and critics and even diehard Pawan fans panned the stale and lifeless script written by Pawan Kalyan.
In all his interviews, Pawan kept saying that he respects everyone’s views and that he will take anybody’s suggestion if it’s good for the film. But looking at the sad state of affairs in Sardaar, one can’t help but feel that Pawan lied in the interviews.
Pawan himself claimed that he doesn’t watch films much. This means that he lacks the knowledge about latest trends in filmmaking which was clearly evident in Sardaar.
At this juncture, many are expressing doubts whether Pawan’s close friends Sharrat Marar and director Trivikram did not suggest any changes to Sardaar’s script over the past couple of years.
Or is it Pawan himself who turned deaf ear to them completely and dictated his own terms during the making of Sardaar? Even Bobby’s influence as a director was minimal in the film.
Had Pawan listened to the suggestions given by those around him, Sardaar would have turned out as a better film, opine many of his fans. A harsh truth indeed!
