Sarainodu Movie Review
Story:
Gana (Allu Arjun) is an ex-military man and is a relative of the state Chief Secretary. While Gana is in Hyderabad, his antagonist, Vairam Dhanush (Aadi Pinnisetty) is in Khammam. Being the son of the Chief Minister, Dhanush creates a parallel mafia world and indulges in Land grabbing, rapes etc. Love and rivalry reach Gana via Sai Kumar who is friend of state chief secretary and Sai Kumar’s daughter is Mahalakshmi (Rakul Preet Singh). Rest of the story is how truth and honesty trumps over the evil.
Performances:
Allu Arjun is the major highlight for the film in a character with three dimensions – a family member , lover and action hero. He pulled it off very well in all the three languages. This film and character is more mass than any other of his previous films but he walked through it effortlessly. Especially his body language in mass scenes worked out big time with out any loudness.
Aadi Pinnisetty plays the baddie and his role is stylish etched. He brought lot of freshness to the role and deserves big credit here. Rakul gets a little role but makes her presence felt. Catherine Tresa despite a relatively big role, is not of big effect. Brahmi is again a failure. Tamil Lady Comedian, Vidyullata Raman is good to some extent. Others are okay.
Technical Performances:
Boyapati Srinu always have this habit of coming up with loose script. There are several loose ends and the pace is also not well placed. He takes about 30 minutes to establish the character of the hero. There are some glimpses of Boyapati mark action blocks especially the one at the interval. But at several times, even the action sequences failed because of the lack of emotion. The proceedings go totally wayward in the midway of second half and the last 30 minutes is even disappointing. Except for ‘This is a private party’, ‘Block BusterE’ songs, the others are very weak.
Thaman once again disappointed with his work. Songs are usually the major strength of Allu Arjun’s films but they are disappointing here. The back ground score is also not up to the mark. Cinematography by Rishi Punjabi is fine. Dialogues appeared over board at many places and thats understandable for a Boyapati film. Production Values are appropriate. Editing is disappointing.

Final Say:
Sarainodu may be a break to Allu Arjun who is on top gear with back to back hits like Race Gurram and S/O Satyamurthy. The movie at most may cater to the needs of some mass audience in the B, C centers. And the others, try it if you are a big fan of Allu Arjun, only for his performance.
