The AgustaWestland Chopper scandal has already hit prominent national leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Ahmed Patel, with many big names set to make headlines in the coming days. Today, TDP’s Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh threw the spotlight back on late CM YSR’s son-in-law Brother Anil Kumar’s role in the scandal.
Demanding a thorough CBI probe on Bro. Anil Kumar’s hand in the scandal, CM Ramesh said that he has been throwing light on Anil’s discrepancies since 2012 and that the then Congress government didn’t act on his whistleblow.
On the other hand, senior TDP leader and MLC Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu too alleged that it was the then AP CM late YSR who purchased the first helicopter from AgustaWestland at 45 crores against its actual price of 25 crores. Naidu also said that Bro. Anil Kumar had close ties with AgustaWestland’s agent Haschke and demanded a high-level enquiry.
