Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has virtually brought curtains down on the speculations that he is going to expand his council of ministers soon. This was evident from his reply given to a question during an interview to media on Tuesday. He said there were no proposals to reshuffle or expand the cabinet; and there was no such necessity now.
By saying so, he put to rest all the speculations that he was going to drop a few non-performing ministers and take a few more, including a couple of women ministers. This would dash the hopes of ministerial berth aspirants like Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Konda Surekha and Koppula Eshwar, whom KCR had promised to accommodate in the cabinet. It is not clear how long KCR would stand by on his statement.
Indications are that he would not take up any cabinet expansion till November, because the days are not auspicious in the wake of Krishna Pushkarams and Moodham days.Who knows KCR’s mind may change by that time and more names might crop up as cabinet berth aspirants!
