It’s common knowledge that film industry has a dark side to it. While there exists casting couch for female actors for bagging roles, male actors undergo various kinds of extortion. Especially, several directors and producers take/demand money from new actors who wish to be seen on screen and make it big. Since the competition for roles is heavy, money plays major role than talent and whoever pays money would get work. Especially sons of rich people become victims to a few filmmakers.
In order to make their acting dream into reality, these newbies to falling prey to few greedy persons who’re cashing in on the victim’s passion.For instance, in a recently released dud, the film’s lead actor said to have paid some 30-Lakh odd to get the chance. A director associated with the film reportedly taken the amount. The director in the past too taken some amounts from few other actors to cast in his films.
This in turn is affecting the industry chain as whole as many less-talented people are entering diminishing the quality of films. Let’s hope people would realise that these things won’t work in the long run and such opportunities would only be helpful for debut and from second film on wards it’s their own talent that bring them chances.
