Khiladi Akshay Kumar, who created history by delivering 3 successive Rs 100 Cr films in one single calendar year, has reportedly signed a new film titled ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.
Currently, Akshay is shooting for the sequel of Jolly LLB. He is playing a lawyer in the film. He will start shooting for ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, a satirical comedy after wrapping Jolly LLB sequel. The film is said to be a satire on the current sanitation and hygiene situation in the country. It is said to be related to Swacch Bharat, the cleanliness program initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The film starring ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ actress Bhumi Pednekar in the female lead role will go on floors in November. The satirical subject and the quirky title have already garnered the attention of trade and movie lovers. As per the makers, the similarity of the film’s title to Sunny’s iconic blockbuster ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ is just a coincidence.
Meanwhile, Akshay’s ‘Rustom’ is successfully playing in theatres.
