Until Baahubali, Tamil film industry is the only industry in the south that used to be in the blue-eyed industry in the looks of national media. In fact, national media used to consider south film industry as Tamil film industry and kept ignoring other film industries.
However, it’s changed. Thanks to SS Rajamouli’s epic Baahubali that created wonders at domestic as well as overseas Box Office. This has changed the perception of North looking down South movies, especially Telugu movies.
Since then, national media kept a close watch on the Telugu movies. Since Krish and Balakrishna’s historic epic Gautamiputra Satakarni is due for release, national media stepped in and took the interview of the team.
The latest is that NDTV has interviewed Balakrishna, Shriya Saran and director Krish. Since the film attempts to revisit the history and narrate the story of India’s greatest warrior of 2nd Century, naturally, this drew the attention of national media too.
In addition to it, the film features noted Bollywood faces like Hema Malini, Shriya Saran and Kabir Bedi. This too helped the movie to get good buzz in North. Also, Krish’s Bollywood connection, all together is helping the film to get noticed there.
