Probably in a first of its kind, this feature film directed by a newcomer has received 100% rating in reviews aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes. The film is nothing but “Get Out”, a horror-comedy, directed by debutant Jordan Peele.
Out of 132 reviews, including 45 top critics, “Get Out” has garnered 100% rating with both critics and 45 Top critics giving thumbs up in unison. Whereas the audience score is 86%. Out of 15,508 audiences rating, the film managed to get 4.2/5 rating. Thus “Get Out” got “Certified Fresh” mark from the Rotten Tomatoes site and set a new precedent by garnered 100% rating. The film released on Feb 24 has been in news for all right reasons.
Jordan Pele had earlier acted in the feature film “Keanu” alongside his partner Key. Key & Peele is quite a sensation on YouTube after the duo’s comedy sketches for Comedy Central in 2012 was a superhit.
What is ‘Get Out’ about?
“Get Out” traces the story of a young ‘black’ man after he agrees to meet his ‘white’ girlfriend’s parents at their weekend getaway estate. Supposed to be a fun weekend thing it turns out to be horror, thriller. Director Pele explores the black man’s point of view of the mystery behind the white folk’s estate.
