Barack Obama, the former US President, who is currently enjoying his retirement life, has got a request to run for the Presidency again. And, the request has come from not the Americans but French.
Obama has already served twice as the US President so he can anyway not be eligible to contest for the US Presidency. Interim, some voters in France have started an online campaign seeking Obama to contest in the French President elections.
Called “Obama17,” the posters of the campaign have surfaced across French capital, Paris. A website has also been launched urging people to sign a petition to persuade Obama to run for the elections scheduled to take place on April 23. The goal is to get 1 million people to sign the petition by 15th March. And, over 27,000 people have already signed it.
The French voters batting for Obama reasoned that he has the best resume in the world to become the President of France and save the nation.
Obama might not be even remotely interested in the job and even if he does, the problem is, he is not a French citizen so he cannot contest anyway.
