In his first speech at joint session of Congress, United States President Donald Trump opened up to make right noises on murder of Hyderabadi techie Srinivas Kunchibotla. But, it remains to be seen if his response will be enough to answer the series of questions put up by wife, Indians in US and also, American Democratic leader Hillary Clinton.
Addressing the State of Union in Washington DC, Trump condemned the recent attacks and said, ‘the recent threats targeting Jewish community centers and vandalism of their cemeteries, as well as last week’s shooting in Kansas City, remind us that while we may be nation divided on policies, we are a country that stands united in condemning hate & evil in all of its ugly forms.’
In first one month after Trump assuming office, United States has witnessed many incidents where the Americans attacked people from other parts, majorly Asians, by shouting racist slurs before attack. Trump’s speech on Tuesday night was an elaboration of how his government would allocate more funds to military, health, women, roads, buildings, tunnels, bridges and more. The speech was aimed at embracing American spirit and offering tributes to senior chief petty officer William Ryan Owens who sacrificed life for country.
The Kansas City attack was targeted at two Indian techies by a 51-year Adam Purinton, who is now facing law charges and is expected to get 50years of jail sentence.
