In strong retaliation to deadly Sarin gas attack in Idlib by Syria that claimed 86 lives including 27 children, the United States on Friday fired around 60 Tomahawk missiles, targeted at a Syrian base. Even as Russia warned the US of the ‘negative consequences’ if it launched attack on Syria, the Donald Trump administration went ahead and blasted a Syrian air base with the help of cruise missiles.
The US confirmed its attack against Syria notwithstanding Russia’s threat. As per the latest reports, the US strike killed four Syrian troops and nearly destroyed its base.
Meanwhile, the tragic gas attack in Khan Sheikhun on civilians by Syria is one of the heartrending attacks in the recent times where the bodies of children, civilians were all over the floor. Even though Syria denied of using chemical weapons, the prima facie hints at the use of a poisonous gas.
According to reports, the autopsies of the deceased confirmed that a deadly component found in Sarin gas was used by the Bashal Al-Assad government in Syria on the rebel forces earlier this week that were held in the early morning hours.
