Congress lost its first wicket in favour of Samaikya Andhra. Party senior leader and Kamalapuram MLA (Kadapa district) Veera Shiva Reddy has resigned to his post as well as Congress party on Thursday.
He announced that he submitted his resignation to the legislature in the Speaker’s format. He also sent his resignation letter to the party to the PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana.
It may be mentioned that Congress lost two MPs in favour of Telangana. This is the first resignation for Samaikya Andhra. Earlier two Telangana MPs Vivek, Manda Jagannatham and former MP K Kesava Rao left Congress protesting against the inordinate delay in deciding the Telangana issue and joined the TRS.
