Iconic buildings and Mahesh Babu go hand in hand. If that’s not sounding logical then you have to go back to the days of Okkadu and Arjun, which are directed by talented Gunasekhar and also known for giving biggest break to Mahesh to the biggest flop.
Apparently, the film Okkadu featured a part of Charminar, a minar that was built involving staggering expenditure. And then for Arjun movie, the whole of Madurai Meenakshi temple was built in Hyderabad. Brilliance is that both the sets erected by art director Thota Tarani flaunted absolute real look close to the originals. Later Gunasekhar got a DGP office carved for Sainikudu but that doesn’t fetch both the set and the film any recognition.
The latest buzz is that as the makers of Koratala Siva’s Bharat Anu Nenu are rejected a permission to shoot at Assembly Building of Telangana state (former assembly of United AP), the makers are now erecting a set that looks close to it. With many scenes and sequences involve that assembly premises and frontal view, as Mahesh is playing the role of a Chief Minister, we hear that Koratala decided to go with a set built for the same.
Like the way Okkadu and Arjun are remembered for those iconic setups, will Bharat Anu Nenu get recognition for its Assembly set? Let’s see!!
