At least, three major multi national companies are in talks with young sport sensation Srikanth Kidambi. Buzz is that a major tyre company, an FMCG major and a top digital giant are in deliberation to rope in Srikanth as their brand ambassador. It’s learnt that talks are in nascent phase. His latest super success where he won two coveted titles in a span of two weeks is what propelling the top firms to line up for him. Meanwhile, several major brands are said to be queuing up to sign Srikanth.
After his Sunday victory where Srikanth became first Indian to win back-to-back Super Series titles and won even praise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Srikanth has now become a hot property for the brands. The way he brushed aside Olympic champion Chen Long 22-20, 21-16 and clinched the Australian Open in Sydney and followed by his triumph in the Indonesian Open crown has grabbed all the attention.
24-yr-old Srikanth from Guntur is currently world no.11. With his outstanding performance, he is all set to jump into world top 10 when the next rankings are announced.
