Torture For A Dozen Music Directors??

Creative director Krishna Vamsi casually joked, “Generally actors don’t torture me, but I torture them back” and the whole of auditorium turns noisy with laughing. But is there something really ‘true’ that he’s revealing through this? Maybe.

One look at the songs of his latest movie “Nakshatram” makes one thing clear. Not all the songs are composed by one particular music director, but there are three names there. While Bheems composed three songs, Bharat Madhudsudhan composed two songs and Hari Gowra composed one song in the album. There is an interesting talk going about this.

Actually, it’s not just these three, but nearly a dozen composers have worked with Krishna Vamsi to create Nakshatram album. As he didn’t like their work after some time, he let them off and tried another one. Finally, he loved the work of these three composers and retained their songs, while Bheems was handled the background score work.

Those who didn’t get the chance to get featured here in the final album are heard saying, it’s a torture to work with KV as he won’t remember what’s the brief he has given about that particular song when they met last time. Continuous changing of ideas, themes and inputs has irritated them all and they left the project, a source adds.

Some directors change cinematographers this way and it’s rare that it gets applied to composers too. Hope Krishna Vamsi’s final ‘audio’ choice gets appreciated.
