When the excise department has recently sent notices to a couple of Tollywood celebs after the recent drug bust in Hyderabad, the name of Rana Daggubati has also done rounds on social media as one of the alleged suspects. The rumors were so intense that his father Suresh Babu had to condemn them in public.
Rana has now responded to these rumors. “I jog for 20 km a day, I work out so much and so hard to get into the shape I am in. It takes a strict diet regimen too. What do you think will happen to all this effort if I do drugs?,” asked Rana with a straight face during his interview to a leading English media house.
When asked if he was not affected by the rumors then, Rana said that he has become used to speculations. “Allegations like these would get me worried during my early days as an actor. But today, I am not at all bothered. I have learned to take such rumors and gossips in my stride,” he added.
Rana said that unperturbed by the rumors of his involvement in the drugs scandal and that hit Tollywood, he is currently busy with his assignments. The actor is looking forward to the release of ‘Nene Raju Nene Manthri’, which is slated to hit screens on August 11.
