The ‘infamous’ drug scandal is rocking the tinsel town. While all the famous Tollywood personalities, who have received notices from the Excise Department for their alleged involvement, is all set to present before the SIT (Special Investigation Team) of the Task Force, the only film personality who would is ‘unavailable’ is Mumaith Khan.
Mumaith is presently busy with the Big Boss show where she is participating in Pune. Apparently, she has conveyed the same to the SIT and took their permission on it. Already, Mumaith had denied her ‘involvement’ in drugs case and made it clear that she has no ‘role’ in it.
Director Puri Jagannadh is reportedly attending before the SIT on Wednesday (July 19), followed by actress Charmi on July 20, actor Subbaraju on July 21, cameraman Shyam K. Naidu on July 23, actor Ravi Teja on July 24, art director Chinna on July 25, actor Navdeep on July 26, actor Tarun on July 27, young actors Tanish and Nandu would be attending the SIT on July 28. According to various reports, the Excise Department has issued notices to the aforementioned celebrities based on the call list of drug peddler Kelvin who was recently arrested by cops.
Excise Enforcement Director Akun Sabarwal, who is helming the case, has been probing it from all corners. Recently, Telangana Chief Minister KCR too stated that no one would be spared from the case if proven ‘guilty’. This has raised the curiosity levels in the case as many well-known celebrities are allegedly involved. More details are expected to furnish once the celebs attend before the SIT from tomorrow.
