‘Mega Power’ @ Rs. 400 Crores!

After Chiranjeevi’s exit from films, there have been doubts about who will take over the number one chair. Despite having tough competition from other heroes like Mahesh Babu and NTR Jr, mega heroes are still leading the pack by proving their range and stamina at the box office.

Chiranjeevi’s younger brother Pawan Kalyan and Chiru’s son Ram Charan have been ruling the Tollywood box office by collecting a collective share of over Rs. 400 Crores with their respective last five films. If you take the last five films of all the top heroes of Telugu cinema, Pawan Kalyan is leading with a share of over Rs. 205 crores. Ram Charan is next to him with Rs. 195 crores.

Mahesh and NTR are at third and fourth places respectively. Interestingly, both Pawan and Charan suffered two disasters each in their last five outings. Even then they have achieved this feat which shows the power of their hit films. Another Mega Family hero Allu Arjun too is proving his mettle with a share of Rs. 125 crores from his last five films. Although Chiranjeevi has left the film industry his successors are not giving a chance for others to take over the throne. Anybody who wants to occupy the top seat should be consistently delivering blockbusters to challenge the ‘Mega Power’!
