August 11th is being widely discussed in Tollywood with the likes of Rana’s Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Boyapati’s Jaya Janaki Nayaka and Niti’s LIE hitting cinemas. But why would Tollywood pitch three equally rated projects against each other?
Generally, they share theatres and plan releases with nice gaps such that no one will eat into the revenues of others. This time, however, these three happening films are locking horns without any fail. Buzz says that earlier Rana Daggubati informed others that he will take up either August 18th as he wants to time the release with Tamil version of Teja’s Nene Raju Nene Mantri. But now, he has changed mind, and that upset even other film producers as well.
LIE is being distributed by Dil Raju in Nizam area, while Jaya Janaki Nayaka has another big distributor’s support. With Suresh Babu a pretty close friend of Dil Raju and Allu Arvind being a common friend for these both, theatre sharing would be never an issue. But after Raju planned everything for LIE which should recover nearly 40 crores from the box office, Suresh Babu went back on his word, hurting his friend, says a source.
For the kind of buzz Nene Raju Nene Mantri is carrying, buyers forced Suresh Babu to come on Independence Day eve only for which the senior producer-distributors obliged. But that led to a little bit of heat between Raju and Suresh, however, that will be cooling off with time.
Meanwhile, buyers are worried as to which film will get a positive buzz and hit talk to make most at the box office. In such situation, if one film gets blockbuster talk, other films will face a lack of footfalls in theatres.
