Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan has at last announced his party’s stand on the upcoming by-election in Nandyal.
In a press meet, Pawan announced that Jana Sena stands ‘Neutral’ with regards to Nandyal by-poll as well as the upcoming Corporation elections in Kakinada. Pawan divulged that he had received representations from certain leaders including Raghuveera Reddy of Congress to announce Jana Sena’s support to them.
‘After taking ground level feedback from Jana Sena activists, our party has collectively decided to stay off all by-polls including Nandyal’s and other elections. Jana Sena party hasn’t yet been completely constituted so we won’t be taking part directly or indirectly in any polls before 2019 General Assembly elections,’ Pawan asserted.
The actor turned politician cautioned people about not believing if anyone says they have the support of Jana Sena.
TDP cadres, especially Bhuma Akhila Priya had pinned high hopes on getting Pawan’s support for Nandyal by-poll. In a recent media meet, she divulged about having made several unsuccessful attempts of meeting Pawan to seek his support. She was hopeful that the actor will announce his support for TDP at least in a media meet if not campaign in Nandyal. TDP cadres may get disappointed with Pawan’s ‘Neutral’ announcement ahead of a high stakes contest.
With Jana Sena deciding to stay neutral, its a head on clash between ruling TDP and opposition YCP in Nandyal now.
