Nandyal defeat is considered as death knell for YSR Congress party. While reviews, analysis and reasons have been discussed widely for the loss of YSRCP, however, what is mainly talked about is TDP’s shocking majority. Jagan might have reasoned that it was a by-election, and naturally people were ‘afraid’ of ruling party and ‘voted TDP’, but YSRCP leaders are focusing on the bumper majority that TDP got.
However, a section of YSRCP leaders who are against to Roja have been dragging her name into the whole issue. They have been trying all efforts to blame Roja and make her ‘bad’ in front of Jagan for her personal comments on Bhuma Akhila Priya and her ‘dress’. A few leaders reportedly expressed that Roja’s comments have been damaging and effected the prospects of the by-poll. If this is not enough, a section of leaders gossiping that Roja’s ‘iron-leg’ tag as reason and how it has been unlucky for Jagan and the party ever since she joined.
With this, Roja is deeply worried. She is desperately making all attempts to clear these rumours. In fact, Roja is not the sole reason for YSRCP’s loss in the by-poll. Anti-Jagan factor, pro-Chandrababu and pro-development, Bhuma-sympathy wave, anti-Shilpa brothers factor, Roja’s personal comments have all played crucial role in garnering thumping majority for TDP.
Like a popular saying in Telugu – ‘Karnudi Chavuki Veryyi Karanalu’ (1000 reasons for Karna’s death), YSRCP’s defeat in Nandyal too have many reasons. What YSRCP need is a massive overhaul and a complete and sincere transformation of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
