“Only family and fans inside, outsiders are not allowed” – What does Puri Jagan mean by this dialogue? In fact, this dialogue forms the core of “Paisa Vasool” movie where the lead actor Nandamuri Balakrishna used it during interval and climax as well. That’s the problem, however.
Usually, if we take any super hits, say it Baahubali, Khaidi No 150 or Gautamiputra Satakarni, these films do well at theatres not because just that hero’s fans have patronized it. Always films tend to make stupendous collections only if fans of all heroes, heroines, directors, and others watch it. In general, we have to see if every film-lover loves a movie, then it will pool up humongous collections at box office. And here comes why that dialogue is not working big time on movie lovers.
If a hero like Balayya says ‘only fans and family,’ then definitely the other movie-lovers who happen to be fans of some other star heroes, young heroes or some neutral guys, are taking it an offense. Puri Jagan, in the name of airlifting Balayya’s image to new heights, he gave a knife to chop the charisma down. By dividing cinema lovers as fans and others, it’s not going to benefit the movie in any way.
Now that Paisa Vasool is on the way to become another disaster in Puri Jagan’s kitty, will those dialogues save the film? Will they make fans watch it multiple times and give vast collections to the producer? The collections might take a dent with other fans severely hurt by Puri’s verbal attack.
