Creative genius Elon Musk’s long-lasting dream and world’s most anticipated travel system ‘Hyperloop’ is likely to see light in India as well and you will be surprised to know which part of the country will mark its debut.
In what can be called as a major agreement, Nara Chandrababu Naidu-led Andhra Pradesh State government has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an American research company HTT (Hyperloop Transportation Technologies), wherein the company agreed to set up its first Hyperloop system, in India, between Amaravati and Vijayawada. The agreement, signed by Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB), is one of its kind and with this agreement, India will enter into new phase in the technology area and it’s going to be a public private partnership model (PPP).
The APEDB chief executive Krishna Kishore detailed, ‘HTT will conduct a feasibility study for next 6 months starting this October and the project will involve $200 million of investment and take a year or so to complete it once all approvals are in place.’ He further added, ‘Amaravati is embracing the prototype for the mobility of tomorrow.’

The Transportation developer HTT will examine the surrounding cityscapes to design a finest path between two cities and in the meanwhile, the company is looking to partner with local stakeholders to build the essential regulatory standards for safe and resourceful functioning.
