Not so impressed by the Legislative Assembly designs of the AP Capital presented by the London-based Norman Foster company, CM Chandrababu Naidu has directed the CRDA officials to consult with ace film director SS Rajamouli and take his insights.
A team of Foster representatives earlier today presented the models for the Assembly, the Secretariat and the High Court, which comprise the government administrative complex in a special meeting with the AP CM.
He reportedly appreciated the designs but he also made a few suggestions and asked the architectural team to take some more time and come up with a world-class plan. He advised them to study the World’s Top 10 architectures to derive inspiration for the design of AP Capital.
Naidu directed the CRDA officials to take the help of Rajamouli in designing the plan. He even asked them to take Rajamouli to London along with the team of architects if necessary. Chandrababu has earlier requested Rajamouli to help CRDA officials with the capital design since he was marveled by the design of Mahishmathi kingdom in Baahubali movie.
Reportedly, Chandrababu told the Foster team that he would be visiting London on October 25 and asked them to prepare the designs by then. He is expected to finalize the designs on that day. In this regard, the foundation stone, which is scheduled to be laid on 30th of this month, looks doubtful.
