After subjugating YSRCP twice in the recently concluded Nandyal Assembly by-election and the Kakinada Municipal corporation election, the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh has reportedly trumped the Opposition party when the two parties locked horns with their latest programmes.
After the conclusion of Nandyal Assembly by-poll, both the parties got busy in strengthening their base in all villages in the state. In order to do that, the TDP launched a programme with the name – ‘Intintiki Telugu Desam’ and the Opposition YSR Congress party conceived – “YSR Kutumbam”. While the agenda of TDP is to propagate Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu government’ s successful administration, the opposition party is allegedly highlighting only the failures of TDP in its campaign.
TDP leaders now claim that their campaign has been receiving overwhelming response and that people are impressed with this positive approach of meeting people and creating awareness of government’s schemes. They allege that people are vexed by the negative propaganda being carried out by YSR Congress party against the govt.
Political analysts say that ruling party’s programme has attracted people more than that of the Opposition party’s and that the TDP has one again got upper hand over YSRCP.
