Using terms like ‘caste-based politics’ and ‘caste-based fans’ has become a fashion these days for some people. NTR is a soft target for such folks as he is a star hero and also comes from a big political family. Since his new film, ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ is about to release in two days, these folks have restarted the age-old negative propaganda against him based on his caste, his allegedly strained ties with Balakrishna and Chandrababu Naidu.
The erstwhile rumor of circulation of SMSes asking TDP supporters and people belonging to Kamma Caste not to watch NTR’s films has once again been brought to the fore by these folks, and they conveniently attribute the failure of his earlier films like Rabhasa, Ramayya Vastavayya and others to this negative propaganda. A rational thinker can understand that those films bombed only because of the poor content, flawed execution and other such factors. Moreover, how logical it is to say in this age that the success and failure of a big film can be affected by whether a particular caste people watch it or not?
These people have now reversed their theory and started speculating that Kamma caste people started backing NTR as Balayya Babu is getting older and that they is no other prominent hero belonging to their caste. Doesn’t this seem like a ploy to project NTR, who has started winning the love of all sections of society, as the hero of a particular caste and devoid him of people’s affection?
Starting from Temper, NTR has been showing maturity in choosing films, public speeches, off-screen behavior and as a result getting the love of all sections in return. He is making sure to have no or minimal political connect in his films so as to avoid any controversies. Bigg Boss show has taken him more close to youth and family audiences. NTR is strategically avoiding the traps of caste and politics but these sensation-craving people are time and again dragging him into the mud by cooking up such controversial stories.
