After having been denied 5 times before, Malayalam actor Dileep was finally given bail on Tuesday in his sixth plea. He had been in police remand for 85 days in the case of abduction and molestation of an actress.
The actor was earlier denied bail five times – twice by a magistrate court and thrice by the Kerala High Court. The High Court had last week denied his bail for the 5th time saying that he might influence the case if he is given bail. On Tuesday, Dileep breathed a sigh of relief as he was given bail after having been in police remand for nearly three months.
Dileep is accused of hiring a gang to abduct and assault the actress to settle a personal score in February this year.
