Prime Minister Narendra Modi has celebrated Diwali with Jawaans (soldiers) who safeguard the nation at borders round the clock notwithstanding any festivals, holidays.
This is not first-time, Modi celebrated the festival of lights with soldiers. This is Modi’s fourth consecutive year to celebrate it with soldiers directly and interact with them.
Modi might be facing anti-incumbency due to implementation of GST and demonetization that failed to bring expected results, but one can’t help but appreciate Modi when it comes to his love for Jawaans, his love for country. Modi once again proved that he is truly a patriotic.
Many leaders, politicians have grossly ignored Jawaans over the years as they were not voters or vote bank element. However, only a few like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi have always given due importance to soldiers. Modi once again proved that he is a PM who genuinely cares for the people who work hard for the nation. Well done Modi.
