High Court Turns Down Andhra Jyothi MD’s Plea

High Court rejected Telugu news daily Andhra Jyothi Managing Director Vemuri Radhakrishna request to exempt him from appearing court in person in connection with a defamation case pending in a Hyderabad city Civil court.

Radha Krishna’s counsel filed a quash petition in High Court seeking exemption from appearing before court. The judge turned down the plea and asked the news daily owner to appear before court without any failure.

Recently, YSR Congress MLA from Mangalagiri filed a case against the new paper MD in the court for publishing objectionable articles against opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after his meeting with President and Prime minister last year.

The court summoned Radha krishna, paper Editor K Srinivas and publisher Venkata Sheshagiri Rao and asked to appear before the court for several time but they skipped. Taking serious note of it, Judge asked the MD to present before the court on December 5 without fail.
