Telangana firebrand leader Revanth Reddy has shot off an open letter to CM KCR over the World Telugu Conference (Prapancha Telugu Mahasabha) which starts off today (Dec 15) in Hyderabad. However, in the letter, Revanth has praised Chandrababu Naidu and stated that Naidu is way ahead of KCR in ‘promoting’ Telugu. He also advised KCR to follow Naidu. He stated that AP government is having all sign boards in government offices and public places in native Telugu language. Revanth said that Naidu has given a mandate to all the institutions to have boards in Telugu.
Revanth has called the Telangana state government a ‘shame’ as he alleged that the government is ‘closing’ Telugu-medium schools despite that is hosting World Telugu Conference. Revanth’s target might be KCR. But in criticizing KCR, Revanth has heaped praises on his ex boss Chandrababu.
Revanth Reddy, who is former TDP leader, seems to have forgotten the fact that he is now into Congress. Given that Naidu is an arch rival to Congress and a longtime enemy in politics, his fresh comments praising Naidu are not going well with Congress leaders.
Congress leaders who have been waiting for an opportunity to target Revanth in front of high command i.e Rahul Gandhi seems to have got a shot in the arm to blame Revanth of doing pro-TDP politics being in Congress. Having said this, Revanth’s letter to KCR is just praising the CM of a neighbouring state. But at the same time, he should have been more wiser as several Congress leaders in Telangana are wanting to suppress him for their own political reasons.
Probably, Revanth shouldn’t forget that he is now in Congress, an age-old party that is infamous for its internal politics, groups and divisions within the party.
