By January 1st, 2018, Nani’s latest film “MCA” has collected nearly 35+ crore share from the worldwide box office and this Dil Raju production is likely to emerge as the biggest earner of the actor’s career. And that pushes him into this tricky phase, where Allu Arjun is racing ahead of him.
Some time ago, mega hero Ram Charan passed through this tricky phase where his routine masala films like Rachha and Nayak made it big at the box office. But it no time, Charan received major setbacks like Bruce Lee and he changed path after that flick. Coming to Bunny, currently, he’s scoring stupendous hits like Sarrainodu and Dj Duvvada Jagannadham in a similar fashion. The content gets whipped by critics, but the film makes huge money at box office.
Same is the situation with Nani also, as his simple and routine films like Nenu Local and now MCA is becoming a super duper hit. But this is a tricky phase we have to say.
First of all, if a film without proper content is minting money for a hero, then definitely that has come through this superstar club where people will watch his films no matter what the reviews and ratings say about it. But if the star delivers similar films in a row, then audiences might get vexed up big time. That happened in the case of Charan, Raviteja and also Gopichand. While Charan and Ravi rescued themselves, Gopichand is still stuck there.
Cut to Bunny and Nani, if their next films also carry similar hype without content inside, then this tricky phase might teach them a lesson. Otherwise, these two heroes need to change their ways.
