Chandrababu Naidu has made an emotional speech on Thursday (Jan 11, 2018) Janmabhoomi Maa Vooru programme being held in Dharmavaram, Anantapur District. Speaking to a large gathering, AP CM stated that his caste is “Pedarkam” (Poverty).
“Wherever poverty is there, I’m there. I’m for the poor people. I’m totally against to the poor becoming poorer. Poverty is my caste.I don’t have any other caste,” said Chandrababu Naidu. He said that development alone is not enough for the progress, but people also have to increase their earning. He further added that increase in income is also not just sufficient, but people has to be happier.
Hence, Chandrababu Naidu said that the state government of Andhra Pradesh is focusing on wellness of people which is the first state in India to work based on happiness index. He said, as part of it, physical exercises are given priority.
“Even robots could complete the tasks. But it is humans who control them. Humans need to dominate in all aspects,” said Chandrababu.
Talking about the severe drought in Rayalaseema region, Chandrababu said his government is going all out to develop Rayalaseema and overcome the drought. “Rayalaseema will be made a horticulture hub. It will no longer be called Rallaseema. It is going to be Ratnalaseema,” said Chandrababu.
