Pawan Proved A Damp Squib Again!

Power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, who created an impression that he would heat up the political atmosphere in the Telugu states by kick-starting his political tour from Monday, has once again turned out to be a big damp squib.

The euphoria generated by Pawan as he came to Kondagattu in Jagitial district of Telangana from where he launched his Chalo re Chalo re Chal tour disappeared within minutes after he started addressing the media.

As usual, Pawan indicated that he was not going to speak tough against the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana Rashtra Samithi in Telangana.

He, in fact, had a word of advice to the opposition parties – YSRC and the Congress respectively, stating that one should respect the governments democratically-elected by the people.

“I don’t want to adopt any confrontationist approach with the governments in the Telugu states. I only want to take up the issues confronting the people to their notice and seek solutions. I would like to play constructive politics,” Pawan said.

As he did in the past, he was all praise for Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

“He is a dynamic chief minister and a hard worker. He is doing a good job for Telangana,” he said.

He also appeared to be totally not confident on his party’s strength or his personal image among the people.

“I am not focussing on how many seats our party will win in the next elections, but on finding solution to the people’s issues,” he said.

The Jana Sena Party president said his party would contest only in those constituencies where it had winning chances.

“We will disclose in a couple of months as to how many seats we will contest,” he said.
