India trounced arch rival Pakistan in the Semi final of the ICC U-19 World Cup to reach the Final.
Much like the India-Pakistan contests on any sporting arena, this U-19 World Cup semi final was also expected to be a crackling contest. But, it turned out to be a one-sided affair as India thrashed Pakistan by 203 runs.
Batting first, India scored 272/9 in the 50 overs. In reply, Pakistan bundled out cheaply, for a mere 69 runs. Congratulatory messages are pouring in from cricket fans as well as former Indian cricketers for the Young Men in Blue for their thumping victory.
The upbeat and unbeaten Indian team will face Australia in the final, to be held on Feb 3, for the World Cup trophy.
