#MeToo campaign has led the world into an utter shock with many women coming out of the closet to reveal the atrocities meted to them. Even some Indian celebrities are also voicing out their experiences and here is the latest series of shocks the Indian fraternity has received.
Veteran Bollywood hero Jeetendra is now accused of sexually harassing his cousin 47 years ago. The survivor has filed a complaint against the actor on Wednesday with Himachal Pradesh’s Director General of Police. As per her version, she was 18 and Jeetendra was 28 when the incident took place in Shimla in the year 1971. On the pretext of showing her a film shooting, Jeetendra invited her to his hotel room and there he raped her after taking a dose of alcohol, she alleged.
75-year-old Jeetendra hasn’t yet responded to the allegation immediately but it is shocking to see that such a complaint was made after 47 years. The present generation doesn’t know who Jeetendra is but he’s more known as the father of TV producer giant Ekta Kapoor and her hero brother Tushaar Kapoor.
A while ago, however, the 60s star stated that the allegation is a rubbish and baseless one. He made this claim through his lawyer and also accused that some competitor in the business is trying to malign his image through such false allegation. Jeetendra starred in super hits like Farz, Caravan, Humjoli, Mawali, Tofa and Himmatwala.
