For Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, industrial bigwigs and rich and mighty are more important than the common man.
He does not hesitate to go head over heels to get into the good books of big industrialists like Mukesh Ambani. When Mukhesh Ambani came to Amaravati, the Naidu government rolled out a red carpet welcome for him.
As he landed at Gannavaram airport in a private chartered flight, Naidu’s son and IT minister Nara Lokesh, local MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi and other officials according him a rousing reception as if he was the President or r Prime Minister of India.
What is more surprising is that senior police officials of Vijayawada were also present at the airport and they gave a salute in attention to Mukesh, as if he is an official dignitary or the VIP of the Central government.“He may be the richest man in the country, but he is just a private individual on his personal business mission.
How can the police give him official salute?” a senior scribe asked. And Naidu also arranged him a helicopter to flow him to the Secretariat at Velagapudi, where he was received by Naidu.
At the Real Time Governance centre, the Chief Minister offered a chair beside him, as he had done in the case of President of India Ramnath Kovind during his recent visit to the RTG centre.
Naidu himself explained to Ambani how he could see what is happening in a remote village and how he could even communicate with anyone in the state. Ambani is understood to have pointed out that he had not seen facility like the RTG anywhere in the world.
Needless to say, Ambani showered praises on Naidu and his vision and the publicity wing did not lose much time in carrying the same to the media.
